List of jobs to be completed over the next fortnight, detailing work on specific cars and Phantom III cylinder heads.

The following is a list of job which will require attention during the next fortnight :- (1) 22-G-V.{VIENNA} This car should be completed by the Coachbuilders on Friday next. It should return to Derby to ensure that the carburation is O.K. and that generally speaking it is the best we can do as a car, and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has then asked to try it. Before it starts a 15,000 miles test it should be fitted with an 11" Borg & Beck clutch and the latest induction pipe, carburetter and intake manifold. We should also make sure that die-cast pistons are fitted. (2) 36-EX. The body for this car should come up to Derby on Tuesday and should be mounted on rubber to the approved scheme. In the meantime we are completing the tests of the engine on the test bed, and we want to retain the engine until the body is mounted, to give us a chance of clearing up the Stromberg carburetter, induction pipe, etc. (3) B-56-BN.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} This chassis is promised early next week from the fitters, and should then go down to Park Wards to have the body fitted. Dodd is in communication with Park Wards to ensure that they have completed work on the petrol filler. (4) Ph.III Cylinder Heads. 2 Ph.III cylinder heads with the final drain scheme are at present being machined. We have standardised these for the first cars, but have not yet run them. They are being urged on the machines, but we should file them up and get them fitted on No.11 test bed unit as soon as possible. | ||
