-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.31.1.36. (5) Ph.III Dummy Chassis. The dummy chassis should be returned to Sales and the Smith's Jacks fitted to 34-EX. Dodd has the instructions for returning the chassis. This should be sent to Messrs. Hooper & Co's Works, 77, King's Road, Chelsea. (6) Stromberg Carburetters. The final induction pipe centre for the Ph.III Stromberg carburetter is urgently required. The pattern is promised for to-day. We should put through enough sets to get the Stromberg carburetter fitted to all our cars, since the 4-carburetter scheme is now obsolete. (7) Big Bore 20/25 HP. The outstanding parts requiring attention on this are the 11" Borg & Beck clutch, and the bolt failures which have occurred on this unit, and the die-cast semi-split pistons which are going to run endurance test on C-14. At the same time, the air intake bend requires clearing up on C-14. (8) Up-to-date SpectreCodename for Phantom III Unit for 33-EX. The unit which was crashed in Hancock's last 10,000 miles car is up to date, having the large slipper wheel and the correct engine feet. We have asked the shop to re-build it as soon as possible and it should then be fitted to the red car, 33-EX. Particular care should be taken to dynamically balance the flywheel and clutch, etc., before this engine is put together. (9) All SpectreCodename for Phantom III cars should have the brake modifications carried out as soon as possible, to ensure that there is no danger of the control rod dropping out.
