Re Bodies for Experimental, Demonstration and Show Cars - SpectreCodename for Phantom III.

A meeting was held in C's Office to discuss the arrangement for producing the new Demonstration and remaining Experimental Cars for the SpectreCodename for Phantom III.

There were present C. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}

1. Experimental Car, SpectreCodename for Phantom III IV.

It was reported that the body for SpectreCodename for Phantom III No.IV, a continental touring saloon and exact replica of No.III but with steel panels, is already in the course of construction by Messrs.Park Ward & Co. The chassis is expected to be ready by the end of July.

2. Experimental Car, No.I.

It is proposed to rebuild SpectreCodename for Phantom III No.I and to replace the body, which is a Phantom II enclosed limousine converted to suit the SpectreCodename for Phantom III, by a new body incorporating the latest approved constructional features. It was agreed that this body may be a Sedanca built by Messrs. Barker & Co., in order that experience may be gained with this class of coachwork, when mounted on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III chassis, before such a car is delivered to a customer. The change to be made when convenient to Design and Expl. Depts., possibly after Olympia.

3. Demonstration Cars.

It was agreed that the two demonstration cars should be:-

(a) Chassis No.V enclosed limousine replica of No.II SpectreCodename for Phantom III.

(b) Chassis No.VI continental touring saloon with division modelled on the design by Barkers.
