-2- S.2/AW.4.6.35. The designs of these bodies on the SpectreCodename for Phantom III chassis and a complete specification of the coachwork is to be submitted by Derby to Sales for approval. In view of the necessity of having these cars in Derby for chassis modifications and tests in development as soon as possible, it was agreed that the bodies might be built by Messrs. Park Ward & Co., and that Sales will ascertain whether these coachbuilders will be able to produce the bodies ordered from them without delay. The chassis for these cars are expected to be ready as follows:- (a) No.V enclosed limousine, - end of July. (b) No.VI continental touring saloon with division - end of August. (Ref:C.C/C.S.6.35 - it is pointed out that this date is cutting the time rather short. Delivery date to be discussed with Expl. Dept.) Olympia Show Cars. The allocation of the chassis for the Olympia Show was given as follows:- Barkers - two - One for our Stand.) Hoopers - two - One for our Stand.) Park Ward- one } Approximate date Thrupp & Maberly - One. } of delivery given Windovers - one. } as the middle of Rippon (Huddersfield) - one. } August. (a) Front Wings. The proposal was accepted that Messrs. Park Ward & Co. be asked to produce eight sets of front wings which will be delivered to Derby, and fitted to the chassis prior to their delivery. This course was recommended in order to ensure that the wings will be properly shaped to give the correct frontal appearance and the correct clearance for the independent suspension.
