1044 To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}4.3.39. We wish to make a direct comparison of cylinder head gaskets on the B.60 and B.80 engines which appear to be rather severe on gaskets. Up to the present "Klingerit 1000" gaskets have been used to EB.4067 for the B.60 and EB.4115 for the B.80. Before ordering 6 off each both in C & A (.050 thick) and Corrujoint (3 ply .030 thick) we should like to know what tool costs would be involved for the trial of the above.
