contd:- -2- commets on this point, or else bring the various chassis here to illustrate the point. As regards Goshawk 1. this as you know was mounted on longitudinal tubes in the hope of reducing the periodicity of the re-action vibration to below a useful speed. Whether this was successful or not we do not know, but we hope that you will soon be able to tell us about this point. (Mr. Day and others say it was successful). Perhaps it will need to wait for the new induction pipes, but in the meantime I think it would be more advantageous to get this engine on its chassis for the above object, than keep it for comparative investigations with a Goshawk-11 engine. This matter is of the utmost importance and is worrying me unbearably until I can come to some conclusion as to which is the best policy for suspension of the engine, in modifying our 40/50.
