WRAITH 111 - HIGH ENGINE MOUNTING - MODIFIED NOSE BEARING.

Herewith Lec.5788 showing a modification to the nose bearing and torque arm for the front engine mounting.

The object of this alteration is to prevent the torque arm from coming loose on the nose bearing by the action of the engine torque.

This has been done by adding two hollow dowels to assist the rectangular section of the nose in transmitting the torque to the arm, and the material for nose bearing and torque arm is altered from aluminium to aluminium bronze.

The retaining plate for the torque arm has been increased in thickness, and the fixing bolts should now be made to fit on the diameter.

This modification should be instructed as soon as possible, so that the new parts can be sent for fitting to the Wraith 111 car in France.
