COPY OF LETTER RECEIVED FROM :- MAYBACH - MOTORENBAU, FRIEDRICHSHAFEN. A.B. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. TRANSLATION. BY6/G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 30/3/31. Btr/J.1. 14th. April 1931. License on Overspeed Transmission. Dear Sirs, We received your letter of the 30th March and regret to see from it that the terms put forward in our letter of March 25th. do not meet with your approval. Will you please consider that our overspeed transmission is an innovation which stands unique all over the world and the advantages of which fully justify the investment called for by a license contract. We have again gone over the matter with a view to reduce the license sums, but have again come to the conclusion that this would be impossible, as by doing so we would allow you more favourable terms than to our other licensees. We are however sure that you will accept our proposal on studying the matter again. Trusting to be favoured with your further news, we are, Yours faithfully, (signed) MAYBACH MOTORENBAU. G.m.b.H. | ||
