R.{Sir Henry Royce} [Strikethrough] Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} [Strikethrough] Worr [Strikethrough] c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X2200. [Handwritten] BY10/G.17.4.31. [Stamp: RECEIVED APR 17 1931] LICENSE FOR MAYBACH EASY CHANGE SYSTEM. -------------------------------------- Further to my previous note on the above subject, we have now received a reply from Maybachs in which they adhere to their original terms. I am attaching a copy of the reply in question. The terms were :- A lump sum payment of £1500 and £4. 12. 6d. per chassis for all cars fitted with the device. This still appears to me to be an excessive demand, and one that it is not likely that we shall fall in with. Before replying to the letter, I would like to have R's and Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s views on the matter. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [Signature] | ||
