EAGLE 16. IGNITION WIRE FITTINGS & SCREENING.

With regard to the above section of Eagle 16. engine, kindly note that no instructions will be got out down here until such time as it is known that Eagle 16. is likely to be seriously produced. At the present time it is regarded only as the fore-runner of a larger engine of the same type, and Mr.Royce considers that it would be waste of time at the present moment to design a complete system of supports and wireless screens for the H.T. cables which it is likely may never be used in an aeroplane.

The system to be used has been outlined and actually designed as far as the magneto distributors are concerned, and this portion would not be wasted, since it is equally applicable to any size of engine, and also to Falcon 10. No further instructions will therefore be sent for this section, as we think the wiring on the test engine can be very easily secured as far as required.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
