COPY. DEVONSHIRE HOUSE, MAYFAIR, W.1. 11th. December, 1929. Grosvenor 3307. Dear Captain Hallam, Chassis 87-AL. Since your last letter asking me to try my Car with 2 cwt. on the back, I have had one run in it so loaded, but as we generally have one or two light suitcases to take up, I cannot spare the carrier for anything else. The extra weight was some improvement, but I cannot say that the Car is comfortable for me alone yet. Last week, not feeling very well, I had to get out and exchange places with my maid in the front, and whenever my daughter is bringing her Stutz up I go with her and leave my Car to the maid and luggage. This week I have been twice in the Stutz. It looks as though there was no cure for the Rolls ? If nothing more can be done I shall have the shock absorbers fitted on again, as the long running was so much steadier with those, and I must put up with the jerks in slow going. My daughter suggests that you should make an exchange with one of the new 25HP. cars, as I do not require speed. One of your Representatives from Farnham called in Hindhead, but I was away. Yours faithfully, (Sgd). M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Body. | ||
