ORIGINAL. R.{Sir Henry Royce} Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence, from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hsl/LG8.4.23. GOSHAWK. X4219 Rg.{Mr Rowledge} and myself will bring to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence 7-Goshawk-11 car. There are several units on this car which we require to run and get some information on. The engine is fitted with the latest type spring drive - it also has the improved generator drive with the fan driven off it. We have also fitted to the car one of the small Bosch magnetos. There is also an axle fitted with coarser pitch gears. It also has the new position of ignition coil. We therefore decided that there are more urgent parts which require running on this car than we could put on the 40/50 H.P. We have been delayed slightly getting the car ready. We shall however, cross over on Monday the 9th. inst. We should arrive at Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence on Thursday or Friday. We will bring the tools etc. requested in your letter.
