Dear Sirs,
Re: Ventilating Windows & Ventilators.
We now agree that we should go ahead to perfect the pivotting ventilating window as fitted to 2.B.50. i.e. the Hillman Type.
We would like it to be fitted to the following experimental cars which you have in hand:
10.R.5. 11.B.5. 12.B.5. 3.B.50 and
30.G.Vll. if they each have not gone too far.
It is agreed that the spindle of the operating handle should have a bearing in both sides of the glass channel.
Likewise we would like to fit to all of these cars the side scuttle ventilator on the offside with a duct leading up to the interior of the scuttle, as proposed by Mr.Todd.
This is in place of the top scuttle ventilator.
Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
CHIEF ENGINEER - CHASSIS.
