I am pleased to say we have arrived at a very satisfactory compromise with this car, by increasing the loading on both H.P. and L.P. valves front and rear; as already advised the springing is decidedly better, and what is more remarkable to me, more agreeable over cobbles and pot holes at slower speeds.

I have not carried out your tyre tests, because it is difficult to fix up correct conditions with the weather clerk. It is also very difficult to find a suitable road near Paris which is free from traffic. An ideal road to my mind is that straight stretch on the way to Orléans, and if it could be arranged with the next 10,000 miles test car, I should like to lend suitable tyres to carry out the tests.
