CHANGING THICK LEAF SPRINGS
TO THIN LEAF TYPE.

Please inform those concerned in your department that in future when customers complain of their thick leaf springs squeaking, etc., they should be informed that a later and improved type of springs can be fitted for approximately £18.

We shall not change any more thick leaf to thin leaf springs free of charge, as all the cars with thick leaf springs have now been delivered for over two years, and if they have been satisfactory for that period, there seems no reason why we should now change them without charge.

The actual charge for making these changes will be as before, which varies a little according to whether the car is already at the Works for other repairs, or whether the car is sent in for this alteration only.

It must be borne in mind that if the thick leaf springs are already fitted with gaiters, an extra charge will have to be made if it is necessary to supply new gaiters for thin leaf springs.

No credit can be allowed for the thick leaf springs removed, as these are no longer standard and are therefore of no value to us.
