To Pt. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X8990 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rml/LG10.3.28. X84320 With reference to Pt6/FM11.1.28. This is a trouble we have never had on a 10,000 miles test car, you must have bumped very hard. However it will not exist in the future as we are putting the column dia. up to 2 1/4". Stretching in proximity to a brazed joint is not very desirable, but if no observable defects make themselves manifest in the brazing after stretching, we do not think the column should be dangerously weakened by such treatment.
