PROGRAMME OF TESTS - KESTREL.

1. Normal full throttle power curve on Pool petrol, taking the revs as low as the carburettor will permit. Note detonation.

2. Repeat detonation test, richening up at full throttle. Plot curve showing how detonation is arrested.

Graph Labels:
Y-Axis: detonation +/-
Line Labels: NORMAL, RICH
X-Axis: 1000 rpm Speed 1500 2000

3. Throttle back at each speed and see maximum power that can be obtained at each speed.

4. Repeat Test 3. but use ignition, retard instead of throttle closing.
