To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.3/AP.19.4.37

We shall be visiting Brooklands in the near future for the purpose of carrying out fan and radiator tests on a Ph.III. car.

The radiator matrices which we shall wish to test are as follows:-

1. One new std. production - this can be borrowed from Production and returned to them after the tests.

2. The Harrison U.S.A. made Ph.III. block which we have handed to you and requested you to build up in our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.4/JH. 8.1.37.

3. The galley block which we have handed to you and asked you to build up in our memo Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.8/JH.7.8.36.

4. An 84 mm. Mk.Vl.{V. Lewis / Mr Valentine} lightened construction block which we will now hand you and which should have top and bottom tanks fitted.

Will you please ensure that all these matrices are ready - we will then put the car which is to be used for the tests in the Shop and shall want you to ensure that these matrices will be interchangeable into the radiator of the car. Further the fan ring required in Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.22/AP.6.3.37 can then be fitted up on the radiator.

We shall also require for after the tests the second set of single belt (mould 240) pulleys and new Cadillac fan as requested recently.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.
