STEADMAN X340 Welen H/STD Ex. from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c.c. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RWC. E.1/HP.29.9.36. Phantom III Radiator. With regard to Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}9/KW.28.9.36, we issued a scheme on the 1st inst. LeC.5258 transferring the struts to the rear of the radiator and eliminating the front cross bar, thus leaving the front of the matrix entirely clear. We are not sure whether we can do without the front cross bar, but the scheme will be tried without it first. It is very important that this alteration should be pushed forward as fast as possible, as it is obvious that the wire mesh is not going to be very satisfactory. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
