EAC.8 CAR. X8770

Referring to the above car which it was proposed DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} and myself should bring to Le CanadelHenry Royce's French residence. This car is delayed because we have not yet received the forging of the improved lightened front axle. We have been disappointed several times in the promises which have been made for this axle. The makers now promise the receipt of the axle forging early next week. If this promise is kept it will not take us long to complete because all the other parts are well on the way.

The car is fitted up with cast dashboard and shorter steering column and modified pedals. The steering is much more firmly held than on the present standard cars and this fixing should overcome the complaints we are receiving from customers as regards the movement of the steering wheel over rough roads.
