Contd. -2- EH1/LG3.4.19. 13½. We have lately arranged that on the road which we take all our consumption tests, we make a test to shew the relative road resistance. We get the car running steadily at 30 P.M.H. and then at a certain point put the gear lever into neutraland let the car run along until it stops. We find that the results of tests taken under identical conditions are very consistent; we can tell a difference in the car when the oil in the axle is thin and thick. We hope by the means of this test to obtain a figure for the road resistance so that we can compare tests taken on different days under various road conditions. EH. | ||
