Successful test of an experimental armature for a 20/25 HP dynamo and future development.

In reply to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.2/MA.4.7.32 it is very encouraging to hear that the second experimental armature to be used in conjunction with the existing 20/25 H.P. dynamo carcass is putting up such a good performance, and this being finally confirmed should carry us on to the next important step which may take place later on. Meanwhile although obviously this armature with a greater output should not require any elaborate testing, you will doubtless be making certain confirmatory tests with a view to standardisation. I gather that the whole question of the dynamo charge and method of control are now being put up to R.{Sir Henry Royce} and we shall follow the next few days development in this connection with great interest. The three-charge scheme in connection with this latest armature certainly appeals to me as being preferable to anything else at the moment available.
