X7370 X7360 X7420 X3409 PHANTOM II REAR FOOT BRAKE. In spite of the reduced direct braking leverage, we are finding that the total travel on the Phantom II increases too rapidly when Ferobestos is used. We therefore recommend that Ferodo Bonded Asbestos should be fitted to the rear foot brake shoes until we have the increased area of brake lining which we are running on our next 10,000 miles test car. We suggest that the existing stock of Ferobestos could be used for the hand brake liners to avoid scrap. We are, of course, bound to continue to use all Ferobestos on the front brakes in order to avoid squeaks. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
