'3S' CHASSIS - 22-EX. X7941 c

The following failures reported in the 10,000 miles report 2.5.29. have been attended to :

Vacuum Pump to I.O.P.E.75843.

There seems to be slightly too much oil escaping down the exhaust pipe which would tend to prove that the pump is being over oiled.

Tests are being carried out on the supply of oil to overcome this complaint.

Exhaust Fittings.

Sliding joint requires strengthening. It has opened out and allows an exhaust blow.

End plate on silencer made of material .064" thick has been altered to .080" in thickness to stiffen this part up.

Exhaust Cutout to IOP. 79871.

Chattering caused by screwed rod bending. The screwed rod was made out of mild steel and brazed into the tube which softened the material. It is to be made in nickel steel and soldered to prevent too much heat being applied in the operation.

Fan to IOP. E.77672.

The fan blades fouled the radiator controls when radiator was full open.
