To Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. c.c. Mr Sm. c.c. Mr Er/GTC. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH.2/SW.10.12.40. BM.40 Distributor. We have examined the drawing of the Delco-Remy distributor sent under cover of memo Br/HM.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}2.12.40 and consider the job to be quite satisfactory. We are however, still in trouble with the locating groove, which, shown in the position on drawing 9A.11375, will not allow us to fit a hexagon headed locating screw and would be very close to the anchor plate for any other form of screw. In consequence we attach hereto a blueprint of RD.1937 showing the revised position for this groove. We suggest that the Delco people be asked to modify their drawing in accordance with the revised drawing. In order to rationalise the driving shaft, this modification will be common to BM.40, B.60 and B.80. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. MS | ||
