- 2 - 4) Doors. Contd. "snap on" type ex. Wilmot-Breeden. Rear Doors to be hinged on the rear pillars with Beatonson Self aligning hinges. The remarks concerning concealed hinges for the front doors also applies to the rears. Rear Doors fitted with drop glass operated by Wilmot-Breeden single arm regulator. Window channelling to be of approved new stainless steel section. Door locks remote control ex. Wilmot-Breeden. Dovetails and inside handles etc. as for front doors. Door outside handles to be of approved pattern ex. Wilmot-Breeden, and finished dull chrome. L.H. Front Door to be fitted with private lock integral with the handle. R.H. Front Door and both rear doors to lock from the inside and operated by the door inside handles. All doors fitted with 3/16" "Triplex" toughened plate glass. Door openings to be fitted with special section black non-blooming rubber on the outside. Inside to be fitted with special section velvet covered rubber as an additional draught excluder. 5) Windscreen. Single piece opening screen operated by approved mechanism. Screen frame of light section with bottom edge reinforced by additional flange and fitted with non-blooming black rubber to approved section. Glass to be 3/16 "Triplex" laminated plate. Screen hinges to be concealed in W/S Header panel. 6) "Sunshine" Roof. To be of Weathershields' latest pattern "Autolift" type with Rolls-Royce modifications. See R.R. 15001 for comparison only. Sliding Panel front and side edges to be fitted with special section seal ex. "Silent Channel". Rear of Sliding panel to be fitted with approved section sponge rubber with live skin ex. Empire Rubber Co. 7) Luggage Compartment. Spacious compartment fitted with door which when folded down forms a luggage platform. Lock, handle and escutcheon and concealed hinges to approved pattern ex. Wilmot-Breeden. Also to be provided with a fixed internal luggage platform as near flush as possible with hinged door when open. Inside of door and fixed luggage platform to be covered with black "Linrubber" matting. Rubberised felt to be stuck to inside of body panels in this compartment - no other lining. 8) Spare Wheel Compartment. Accommodation provided for the spare wheel immediately underneath the internal luggage platform. Spare wheel locked in position by approved pattern clamp and screw ex. Wilmot-Breeden. Access to spare wheel through a separate door which can be removed entirely from the aperture and has hooks provided with which to hang the door on the rear bumper. Leather covered chains also to be fitted to prevent loss. Door Held in position by approved type budget locks ex. Wilmot-Breeden. Rear Door to be fitted with Lucas flush type illuminated rear number plate box No.288.L.2. Continued | ||
