SPECIFICATION OF COACHWORK.

Four Door Four Light Saloon.

Drg. No. FL.3003.

CHASSIS -

Wheelbase 9'-8 1/2".
Front Track - 55.700". Rear Track 57.500".
Sheet Steel wheels - 6.00" Tyres fitted with wheel discs ex. Cornercroft.
Datum back of dash of Rear Wheels 89.500".

COACHWORK -

Four Door Four Light Saloon - Drg. No.FL.3003.

1) Body.

Body to be framed in well seasoned timber (Ash if procurable, or alternatively, Birch) as required and suitably reinforced with M/S plates at all major joints. Body to be panelled in 18 S.W.G. aluminium throughout with the exception of the front end. Front end (i.e. scuttle complete and W/S Pillars to be panelled in 20 B.G. Steel. Alternative suggestions for constructional details can be made by the Coachbuilder but must be approved by Rolls-Royce Ltd.

2) Front Wings.

To be in 16 S.W.G. aluminium and fitted with integral side lamps to approved design. Approved type stone guards also to be fitted. Mounted on a forward wing stay and securely bolted to the front apron, side shields and body side. Also to be fitted with a mud drip channel on the outside edge.

3) Rear Wings.

To be in 16 S.W.G. aluminium. A hinged door to a sealed box to be provided in the L.H. wing for access to the petrol filler. This door or flap to be fitted with a small private slam lock. Approved type stone guards to be provided. A mud drip channel also to be fitted on the outside edge of wing.

No Stepboards.

4) Doors.

Front Doors to be hinged on the centre pillar with Beatonson Self aligning hinges. Alternatively, concealed hinges may be fitted if design investigation shows this to be possible. Front Doors to be fitted with pivoting "No Draught" ventilators operated by worm gear. Type to be designed and approved. Drop glass operated by Wilmot-Breeden S.L. type regulator. Window channelling to be of approved new stainless steel section.
Door locks direct control ex. Wilmot-Breeden.
