Ha/Wym.{G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager}15/KW.25.6.35. 20/25 HP. Carburetters. We have been investigating the complaints with regard to the above carburetters, namely, poor petrol consumption and flooding. Dealing firstly with the petrol consumption job, we collected C's car, GAE-19, from London (this being one of the complainant cars) and checked over its consumption and performance, with its own carburetter fitted, and also with the old type carburetter fitted. We have also taken consumption figures on an experimental car, 19-G-IV, fitted with carburetters taken from Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car, Sir Banister Fletcher's car, and a production Test Dept. finalled chassis. In addition, we have taken consumption figures with Sir Banister Fletcher's car, CLG-3, with the driver in attendance throughout the tests, and have compiled the following list to shew the consumptions obtained over various routes and at different average speeds. | ||
