BX/C16/H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} 10.12.19. CHASSIS ALTERATIONS. G.2481. Reverse Motion Shaft. The parts which require hardening to be marked "HH", and parts which can be left soft to be indicated by "SS{S. Smith}". also the depth of case hardening to be added. G.4895. Actuating Lever. "Drill .125 diameter for brazing purposes, afterwards drill .156 diameter Tap 2 BA. 31.4 T.P.I. in position with change gear tube through one side only" to be altered to "Drill .156 diameter, Tap 2 BA. 31.4 T.P.I". G.6929. Change Gear Tube. The corresponding remarks to be modified on this drawing. The reason for this alteration is that the Works do not require these holes for running in the brazing metal, but are required for set screws to hold the lever in position. G.1689. Bolt for Spring Bracket. Dimension .625 diameter to be added adjacent to the thread, to indicate that this part is the same diameter as the main body of the bolt. G.6827. Clutch Brake Bracket Cap. Dimension .440+.5 to give diameter of the Spherical Bore, in place of Dimension .025, which is given for the centre of the sphere. This is a Works' request to simplify measurement. G.2762/3. Rear Axle Shafts. Dimension .662 +.2 to be deleted, and to be substituted by a dimension for the thickness of the web, namely, .313 ± .2. Tool Office request. G.388. Oil Cover for Repair Chassis Gear Box. Boss for carrying steady pin for Central Brake Shoe to be strengthened as per memo attached to drawing. G.866 & G.2450. Levers. The diameter of drilling size to be added for taper pins, as indicated on prints. Works request. G.424. Second Motion Shaft Driving Gear. Parts to be case-hardened to be marked "HH" and parts which may be left soft to be marked "SS{S. Smith}". Also depth of case-hardening to be added. | ||
