2. notice of the provision made for my son's widow and child, not having been taken into confidence by her, about which, as the father of her late husband I feel I have a right to expect. Not that I have any doubt but that the provision is quite adequate, & in every way in accordance with all that would be expected from a Company of your eminence - but this knowledge would have enabled me the better to understand the attitude taken up by your Mr H, in dealing with my application, which, I submit, was, proceeding from my knowledge, only reasonable & made under a sense of justice to my son's memory. | ||
