To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg. {Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} C. Cx. {Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} re Alpine Trials. Thanks for Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1/AD4.7.32 and Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 3/AD4.7.32 - (you might please give Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} a copy of the latter). As mentioned to you yesterday on the tele-phone it was quite evident when Mr.Pass came here that he had had a surprise as to the severity of this Trial. You were quite right in the first place when you said that cars such as the Alfa Romeo would put up a much better performance than we could hope to do with our standard car which is built for all-round purposes. It is also evident that Mr.Pass was not anxious to take the 20/25 unless we were particularly keen that he should do so. I have, therefore, written him as per the attached copy. Sg. {Arthur F.
