TRANSMISSION.

6) Loss of Clutch Pedal Clearance.
This caused clutch slip until re-set by adjustment provided. Further observation will show if this was due to initial bedding down or to rapid wear.

7) Oil Leaks from Gearbox Joints.
This is a manufactury problem. It may prove necessary to use heldite on production, but we do not consider it necessary to take any steps unless trouble occurs on test or in service.

8) Propellor Shaft Periods.
There are two, one at 50-60 m.p.h. and one at 80-90 m.p.h. They are not obtrusive in the front seat but are noticeable in the rear and become worse as the car is loaded down. We think that the reverse should be the case and that the bent line of the transmission should be reached at maximum load.

9) Light Squeals from Rear Axle at low speeds when cold.
This sounds like an oil seal squeaking. It is not a regular occurrence and no steps have yet been taken in the matter.

BRAKES.

10) Water entering Servo.
The tape was not adhering properly. With undersheets it remains in position better and at the same time water is kept off. These have therefore been fitted as on B.V.

11) Light Squeaks from Rear Brakes.
This is as far as we know the first case of squeaks from V.G.90. The rear brakes have been doing most of the work while the servo output has been down, and this may be a contributory cause.
