- 2 - HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/RH.{R. Hollingworth}1/VS.{J. Vickers}3.6.37. Headlamps. Returned to Messrs. Lucas for inspection. Centre Lamp. In good condition. Petrol Pump Switch. Obsolete. R.R. Universal Foot Switch. Toggle mechanism unsatisfactory. Instrument Light Dimmer Switch. Obsolete - to be modified by T.T. Windscreen Wiper Motor. One terminal nut missing - otherwise satisfactory. Ballast Resistance. These are special "Glowray" non-temperature co-efficient resistances. They are electrically sound and in good condition, apart from water which lodged in the cover, but this has now been overcome on production by drilling larger diameter holes each end. Coils. These are experimental coils consisting of a standard Phantom III coil with the secondary rewound with 15,000 turns of 42 S.W.G. wire non-solder H.T. connection. They are electrically sound, but the condition of the secondary winding is unsatisfactory. Distributors (electrical). The general condition and performance of the contact levers and points, etc. is very satisfactory. continued. | ||
