the Goshawk than on the 40/50. We could possibly make the
wire of finer gauge so as to only take the same current, but
we do not think this would be advisable from the point of
view of the ballast resistance itself. Another point is
that some difficulty has been experienced in starting up the
40/50 car on a cold morning, and as a result of this it has
been suggested to me that the ballast resistance ought to
be reduced in magnitude.
We will take up the matter with Messrs. Lucas
as to whether they cannot make their curve of Goshawk dynamo
output keep up a bit more than at present in the later
stages, as is the case with the C.A.V.
