(15) Oil pump inside the sump at rear end of the unit Following tests carried out on Bentley with regard to pressure loss after braking where improved results were obtained lowering the suction pipe by means of an elbow. it is interesting to note that suction pipe is down to .250 - .500 from sump base. Small shallow saucer at the inlet pipe base, possibly an anti sludge device. (16) 4 bearing crankshaft, solid journals oil holes drilled direct from main to crankpins (17) Slabs between big ends 1.250 section Slabs between big end & mains .675. (18) Exceptionally massive main bearing caps. with .500 dia studs. (19) Thin section lower half .062. | ||
