2 ⑥ Off.Set combustion chamber relative to ¢ of bores. ⑦ Exhaust manifold bends not cooled & unlike Ph III are cast as the manifold & not with the head. ⑧ Long rear main bearing 3.5" ⑨ No oil retaining felt at rear bearing. leak past bearing is catered for by thrower on crank running in an annulus from which oil drains back to sump. ⑩ Mechanical petrol pump driven from eccentric on vertical distributor drive ⑪ Side by side connecting rods. ⑫ 2.5 dia crankpins (Ph III 2.25). ⑬ 2.65 dia journals (Ph III 2.75). | ||
