Re Tests on ST Battery (181)

This battery has ran 25,820 miles on the road & has been on our bench life test 12 months & is now 37 months old.

On Low Rate Discharge through a constant external resistance of 1.80w 45.2 ampere hours were obtained. The Exide threaded rubber cell & P&R standard cell had the poorest capacity & shewed positive weakness.

On High Rate Discharge through a constant external resistance of .100w
Initial amperes 105.9
Time to 104 " = 4.0 min
" " 100 " = 6.8 "
" " 90 " = 12.6 "
" " 80 " = 15.6 "

All cells shewed negative weakness.
As regards performance on this test the cells stand in the following order:
P&R Threaded Rubber. Rib +
Exide Standard.
P&R Threaded Rubber Flat +
