Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Mx. {John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} X8420 Mxll/T19.11.25. Brakes thumping and Grabbing. New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I Chassis. This is a point which is being raised on a number of Cars by EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} I would like to take an opportunity of demonstrating a particular case to you immediately you return, i.e. 114-HC. I am quite prepared to agree that one can produce, under certain conditions, signs of thumping, and I do not know how this can be remedied. First of all, I think the point to settle is, to what degree is the thumping and grabbing permissable, if at all, and this can best be settled by making a test case.
