Dear Mr. Robotham: In view of the very great discrepancy between the Park Ward figures and our own, we have had a further discussion on the matter and believe that we may have discovered the reason for this wide variance. If Park Ward have used in their quotation to you the figures that we gave them on June 1st, it is possible that they have misinterpreted the condition of the Panels which we would deliver to them. Actually, we quoted them a Tool line-up for formed Panels off the press, rough trimmed only, with the flanging, piercing, and final trim operations omitted. To give them a more clear conception of the shape of these Panels we sent them a set of sketches as used by our Estimating Department in which the Panels were shown with all the operations included but which obviously did not check up with the Tool line-up. I would like to suggest, therefore, that you check up with Park Ward as to the prices which they have used on the Panels bought out, and if you feel there is going to be an advantage through having Park Ward assemble the Panels made by us we will be quite willing to quote you or them on the Panels either way.
