so that we think that the provision of new levers is justified.

The front equalising shaft must have three new levers as the lever on the equaliser is already too short and the other levers must therefore be lengthened also.

Three of the four levers on the rear equalising shaft must be lengthened as the equaliser lever cannot be shortened the amount that would be necessary to avoid any alteration to the other levers.

Slight modification to the front undershield is necessary, but no reduction of ground clearance is required.

To accommodate the increased rotation of the servo the stop on the swinging arm must be raised and we can do this with the revised scheme of friction as shown on N. Sch.4406.

The revised scheme of friction is regarded as necessary with the modified leverages as we understand that the more powerful cam on the servo is likely to increase brake thumps and consequently it is more important than ever that the friction should be adequate and consistent.
