x 293. ATTENTION OF MR. PARK. "CAMACHAHenry Royce's office in West Wittering", WEST WITTERINGHenry Royce's home town, NR. CHICHESTER, SUSSEX. XXXXXXXXXX XXXXXXXXXX RV2/IO.8.32. Messrs Park Ward & Co. Ltd. 473, High Road, Willesden. N.W.IO. Dear Sirs, RE BODIES FOR BENTLEY MODEL "A" CHASSIS. This is to confirm our conversation with yourselves prior to the holiday when the writer, in company with Mr.Honeyman paid a visit to your works. We have asked you to quote us a complete price for building five bodies for the above chassis com lete designs and specifications of which accompany this letter. In making your estimate we would point out that one body is a replica of that you have already built and two others are alike, whilst many parts such as the sliding seats are common to all bodies. We think that this should enable you to effect a reduction in the price. It was agreed that you should go ahead with the first body which is a replica of the four door four light saloon recently supplied without delay and that delivery be fixed for 8 weeks from that date, which is September 21st. The only changes we asked to be made were in the bonnet which is lengthened 2.000ins. The next body we shall wish you to deliver will be a Close Coupled Saloon to N.Sch.3511, of which we enclose a spacification herewith. The spare wheel is carried at the rear. We would like delivery of this by October 5th. The third body we want is the same as the above but with the spare wheel carried at the side, and we ant this body on Oct.12th. The fourth body is similar in capacity to the Close Coupled Saloon but is a Two Door Four Seater Close Coupled Drop Head Coupe and is shewn on N.Sch.3512. The specification will be the same as for the close coupled saloon except for the two doors which are hinged on the rear pillar, and for the head which should be lightly constructed in metal and covered with twill. This body we shall re uire on Oct. 19th. | ||
