BJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X.9940 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LGS.10.23. 10,000 MILES PRODUCTION TEST CHASSIS. X9940 X4574 X4601 With reference to BJ1/H4.10.23 in connection with the above. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} and I have agreed with your suggestion that it might be better if the running of these cars was put in charge of EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} The Expl: Dept: therefore will complete the tests and issue a report on the present 20 HP. which has nearly completed 10,000 miles, and after that, all work in connection with these tests will be done by EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} With reference to the second paragraph, There has already been allotted a standard 40/50 chassis (36-HG) for the 10,000 miles production tests. We are handing this car over to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} We do not see how 10,000 miles production tests on E.A.C3 can start until there are actually production chassis in existence. The first tests on the E.A.C3 will be standardisation 10,000 miles tests which will be carried out by the Expl: Dept: We think it is necessary that there should be a distinct line drawn between the Expl: 10,000 miles tests and the production chassis 10,000 miles tests. Our suggestion is that the production 10,000 miles test can not possibly commence until the parts have been standardised. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
