It is the recognised practice.
shall we go up in 'Platt's' when there is a clue which
cannot be explained by the observer.
Though I was only in a comparatively small way, this time I was in a position to appreciate under what handicaps the different engines have to work.
To obtain this information one must travel.
I consider that it can on no account be missed.
before we have enquiries on-foot to dispose of our engines.
The makers whose people are now working on tests in the air on
competitor machines, and they will have a big advantage over
us being able to get first-hand information as regards how
their engines behave in detail.

I regret that such an order was issued by the Committee.
The order was an important order & more from a design than an engineer's point of view.
