Typed Text (upside down): -2- It is the recognised practice. shall we go up in 'Platt's' when there is a clue which cannot be explained by the observer. Though I was only in a comparatively small way, this time I was in a position to appreciate under what handicaps the different engines have to work. To obtain this information one must travel. I consider that it can on no account be missed. before we have enquiries on-foot to dispose of our engines. The makers whose people are now working on tests in the air on competitor machines, and they will have a big advantage over us being able to get first-hand information as regards how their engines behave in detail. Handwritten Text: Take observations. There are two reasons & nothing for this. I regret that such an order was issued by the Committee.
