-7- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KW.19.11.35. We expect the reaction to the revival of the smaller car to be at first uniformly unfavourable, on the score that it has been turned down before. We should, however, like to know the reasoning which led to it being turned down, and whether the people who rejected it were Works or Sales. We anticipate that it will be felt that if we cannot deal satisfactorily with the present three chassis it is madness to consider four. We have tried to shew why we consider two or four, rather than three, to be an economic arrangement. Fortunately the only immediate decision which affects the smaller car is whether the 20/25 frame is to be like the SpectreCodename for Phantom III or the Bentley. If it is decided, as we believe it should be, that the SpectreCodename for Phantom III and 20/25 frame should be interchangeable, then if and when the 25 HP. and Bentley have been dealt with, an experimental Peregrine car can be produced with an exceedingly small expenditure of experimental effort, and no design work.
