1124 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/MHR.{M. H. Rigby}3/RH.{R. Hollingworth} 4th July, 1941. Automotive Products Co., Ltd., Tachbrook Road, LEAMINGTON SPA, Warwicks. Attention Mr.F.G.Parnell. Dear Sirs, We should like to fit a light alloy 1 1/4" dia. master cylinder to an experimental car, and should be grateful if you would again take up this matter. The master cylinder would be similar to your present 11680/2 integral tank type and if possible, we should like to use the same mounting brackets as at present. Our position is that the chassis is temporarily without a body, so this is an ideal opportunity for fitting it up for hydraulic front brakes; the actual master cylinder can be fitted after the body is put on. We enclose a drawing of our present arrangement, and should like to know whether the change over will affect the width of the master cylinder. If it can be managed, we are anxious to do any frame drilling in the next week or two. If you can design the master cylinder, and send us a pattern, we can produce the casting for your machine. Can you let us know the position on the Myth car brakes? We are now in a position to order up two sets of parts. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS ROYCE LIMITED, Enclosed: 1 Blue Print No.RG.{Mr Rowledge}1913. | ||
