PHANTOM III STEERING COLUMN. CAM ROLLER.

FJH{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}

In view of the repeated failure of the roller bearings in the existing P.III cam roller, we wish to provide a substitute with ball bearings, which can be used as a replacement without altering either of the two existing types of rocker shaft, F.88341 and F.89716 and used with original wheel movements. With the standardisation of Wraith wheel movements, a ball bearing cam roller automatically comes in.

PD.330 shews the design. A new bolt is required to suit rocker shaft F.88341, otherwise the bearing is completely interchangeable with the existing roller bearing. The design of the bearing, adjustment in rocker shaft etc. follows latest Wraith practice.

Please detail and put in hand experimentally.
