X9940 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} " Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} " " " Sft.{Mr Swift} " " " AEM " " PRIVATE. Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}2/M29/11/23. Front Wheel Brakes. I have a note from Mr.Johnson this morning, in which he says Mr.Royce told him on Tuesday that he had sent sufficient information to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} which would enable us to form definite opinions as to what parts are likely to be scrapped on Front Wheel Brakes, in view of the more recent decisions. This confirms that we are right in stopping any work on parts for Front Wheel Brakes that we consider, from information received from Mr.Royce, is likely to be scrapped. It would be helpful to me to have a list up-to-date of parts that are likely to be scrapped, so that I can instruct the Works to go ahead with other parts which are likely to be eventually used.
