BENTLEY lll - OIL LEVEL INDICATOR. Please receive herewith :- E.CD.1082 Modified Oil Indicator Marking. Wraith lll and Bentley lll. The minimum level mark on the indicator plate is moved to a position which registers one gallon of oil in sump instead of .625 of a gallon as at present. This alteration is recommended by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} in view of experience on the recent test on chassis 8.B.V. which showed that when running with oil at a minimum level of .625 of a gallon a drop in the oil pressure was indicated under certain running conditions. Will you please instruct this alteration to be made to the indicator plate, the modified plate should also be used on the Wraith lll engine after all existing plates have been used up.
