X6053 Ey. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. Ey/HEB.{H. Biraben} c. Ey/RD. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/AD9.10.31. BATTERIES FOR LAST 50 CHASSIS T. SERIES. Answering your Ey 3/G7.10.31, re the above, we have only had one of these modified batteries for test with the moulded container and modified cell connections and terminals. This is being fitted to 18-GIV for test in France with the new metal battery box. As we have had sufficient experience of the reliability of similar moulded container batteries on P.2 chassis and as the internal features of this battery and its weight are almost identical with the present standard 20/25 battery, we do not anticipate any battery trouble and agree with your recommendation that these batteries should be fitted to the last 50 of T. series. It is assumed that on these chassis there will be no cantilever battery box suspension as on 18-GIV which, of course, is still definitely experimental. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/WST. | ||
