Exhaust System. Thank you for your telegram about 35-EX In the final design the rivetted flange you mention would be a casting, and no trouble should be experienced. We wired you this morning that we were sending out a fitter with a complete set of con. rods. The con. rods have actually left by Air Mail, and the fitter should be in Chateauroux on Wednesday. We do not want to disturb the main bearings, provided the knock has gone when the new rods are fitted. To fit new main bearings would be a very long job, necessitating taking the engine out of the frame. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
